wonderful work wolves of steel

I am blown away by the work done on wolves of steel the question I have is, can you have the eye candy of WOS but not the hard core realism. I like the look but find it very difficult to plot courses when I dont know where my boat is because it doesnt show it in the map. the other question is i see there are quite a few downloads,does someone have a list in what order they should be downloaded for the best play? Again this is a awesome site and I'm glad it is here.

I just started playing WOS mod as well under 100% realism. Click on nav officer icon at bottom and then the report button. The 3 buttons that show up on the right are the ones to use to plot by

1. via celestial fix by sextant
2. dead reckoning

the 3rd button is to plot the last fix on the map. It seems to take awhile for the celestial fix, but that's most accurate. After he plots the point I then draw a line from that point along my current heading to see where i'm going.

I found out by not adding the real nav. that the game plays pretty much the same as the stock game. Of course you have the extras and eye candy. The only complaint I have is it has more coastal boats 82 tons, then any other boats and I'm on the 3rd mission and have yet to see a convoy. But other then that its awesome.
