I open this discussion to appeal to all the experts here on Subsim several years created with great care and experience of the
excellent graphic versions of warships to the surface. (SH III / SH4 / SH5 MOD) ![]() I want to stress to all of you one thing. In 2002, Ubisoft launched "Destroyer Command" as a naval simulator. Personally, I think it would be a good initiative on the part of Ubisoft launching a new product for the simulation of surface vessels after four games dedicated entirely to underwater simulation (all very well managed as far as I'm concerned) A new twist inspired by the canons of Silent Hunter (4 or 5) and Destroyer that would give the player the ability to choose the combat zone (Atlantic Ocean - Mediterranean) to choose the combat unit (battleship - cruiser - destroyer) and to manage the tactical strategy (as a single unit or in conjunction with a squadron created by him), of course (as for SH5) with a real historical period (1939-45 for the navies of Britain and Germany or 40-43 for the Royal Italian Navy) and historical missions (Battle of Cape Teulada - Alexandria - The Hunt Bismarck - the Battle of Taranto etc ..). Well my idea is a very extensive but knowing the enormous capacity and skills of all of you, I hope (I hope) that does not remain just a fantasy ![]() And I know well that it is not the only one and wait for a project like this if it were possible to achieve. I'll start from the page of SH III and I hope to put in cominucation. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=219 http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=249 Greetings to all the community and good hunting. ![]() ![]() http://www.naval-history.net/Map00Index.htm Last edited by Admiral Faier; 11-11-14 at 10:08 AM. |

I'd love to see a modernized (windows 7/8) destroyer command game. That is, not simply a port of the old to a win compaitible with the same old graphics in a DOS box. (a la latest garbage Task Force 1942)
It would be nice to have the choice. It would be even nicer if it either linked to SH whatever for gaming online or... it were a MOD for an existing SH game that was more than just a surface ship to play as a modified sub. Full flavor of the destroyer life, searching for subs and defending the convoys, is what we need. That would involve AI subs with real intelligence. Good luck with this idea. ![]()

Thank you Raymond.
![]() I hope it can be made a SUPER MOD from experts who work here on the site to Subsim. I sent an appeal to all the other categories, given their great experience in the field ![]() (and do not deny that I also sent a personal email to Ubisoft ![]() But given the excellent work done in the many MOD for the various Silent (3/4/5) I asked you could do something like that here at home Subsim? ![]() Well we'll see ![]() |
