One of the worst things, again!

A few years ago I got a 23" monitor, much nicer after using 17s and 19s.

Six months later, I got a thunderfly (also called thrips, thunderbugs, storm flies, thunderblights, storm bugs, corn flies and corn lice) inside the screen. You know the little blighters - usually cover you when you it's been hot and muggy and feels like a good storm could sort it out.

It wasn't too bad, about 4" in from the left and 3" from the bottom. Made reading some text difficult - I sometimes think it's a comma or a full stop. And try looking down for the RAF aircraft over the channel in IL-2 CoD - there's one, oh no it's that bug. There's one, oh no it's that bug.

Well this past week it's been very warm (for here) and muggy again, and wearing a white tee hasn't been the smartest move. But I've got another one in, dead like his colleague in annoyance. A little bit lower, but quite central.

It's like Mother Nature's very own dead pixels. Shame as I normally like her.

So seeing as I'm now working full time I may be able to afford a new monitor sometime in the next few months.

Any recommendations of what to get or what to avoid? (Apart from cling film around the monitor to keep 'em out.)
