Dive of Alcoa Puritan- sunk by U507

The vehicles are in the water for a dive of the Alcoa Puritan , a 6795 ton cargo ship hauling bauxite from Trinidad to Mobile on May 6th, 1942 by U507 commanded by Kapitanleutnant Harro Schacht . It sits in approximately 2000m of water about 45 nm SSE of the mouth of the Mississippi .
It sustained a lot of deck gun fire along with the torpedo that ultimately sunk her . Should start seeing the ship shortly .

See it on NautilusLive.org

Happy Watching
