All things related to your abode...

Wonderful, wonderful.
My significant other discovered the lavatory faucet was leaking on the cold side the other night and she tried to turn it off, but it still trickled and naturally it kept her awake all night worrying about it. She pulled the little cover off the top of the knob to look at the retaining screw, thinking that the thing could possibly be repacked, but no, the screw is rusted beyond all hope of removal. The faucet assembly must be replaced in its entirety.
Which is a good thing. The new faucet I bought came with a new sink drain with the push to seal stopper. She's been complaining about the existing stopper because it can't be easily removed for cleaning out the cat fur and beard hair. This new one screws in with no need for the little pull up handle to operate it. Plus for Wolferz. No more complaining about the sink stopper. So, today I put on my plumbers hat once again for the second time in a month. I just refinished a water closet rebuild a couple of weeks ago. I love it. The new components are so much quieter than the old hardware when it refills the tank. You can barely hear the water running into it and it has a mighty flush!Should make any blockages interesting if you can't get to a plunger stat.
