TDW Help needed!

TDW, RESOLVED

I have exhausted all avenues to resolve this for sometime now and need your help. Using the non-steam version.
When I do a clean install up to and incl. SH5 v1.2, with the mod list below
I get "historical" missions screens that show the officers icons in the bottom middle panel. When I click any officer, I get an officer's moral / promotion screen and when I click the icon again, the screen goes away.
I have tried this mod and also no mods with the same result.

I dont Know if this would help ? But A clean Install also meant switching Off U-play to the offline mode and unchecking the cloud saved games otherwise you will see what you thought was cleaned re-installed into your sh5/documents/Richsavedgames.. and or saved games . when ever you do a re-install , you need to double check this option .. as far as this goes these might be broken files and or duplicated files within the folder , or you are using the same mods that we re-installed from your previous problem, into your new install ..??? when you de-activate these mods and go back too the vanalla Sh5 does this problem go away ? . Otherwise Iam no expert in the matter , but these basic troubleshooting Ideas Helped me to get it right . A clean Install also means you must go into the ubi folder for sh5 and manually remove all traces of your last game .. donot re-use the the mods files you had before or else you might get the same results ..

I overlooked the ubi folder, even though I did uninstall the ubi launcher.

I'm not sure what you meant by not using the same mods again...

I will give your ideas a shot to see if it works.

As an experiment change this

TDW NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_WWIIInterface_by_naights

to the advanced SH5 and see if it makes a difference.

I just did another clean install ,
revoved all Ubisoft
No Uplay

Ran Vanilla v1.2 but of course there are no icons at bottom yet.

Will try ur suggestion.

The functionality you are describing is what I get when I right click the officer icon. Left click pulls up the upper menu bar.
Is it possible the device you are using ( mouse/joystick/gamepad etc.) is keymapped incorrectly?

WHATABOUT DEBUG MODE? THINK IT WILL SHOW ANYTHING?

When I put cursor over icon, msg displays "click left button" to choose officer )I GET NOTHING ON THIS CLICK) OR "click right button" to "show ability inspect page" (THIS IS WHAT I ALWAYS GET)

..............., I REVERSED RIGHT AND LEFT MOUSE CLICKS, IT WORKED PROPERLY, BUT WHEN I REVERSED THEM AGAIN, I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS. DUH?

I MAY HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM BY MANIPULATING THE LOGITECH GAMING MOUSE FOR RIGHT AND LEFT CLICKS ... NOT SURE WHY IT SEEM TO WORK NOW.

SH5 Enhanced UI consists of:
- TDC. Each scope's TDC mode can be set to: no TDC, minimal dials, all dials
- Heading bar integrated into the speed bar. Clicking the heading bar readout will reveal a heading/rudder dial. The dial is switchable from heading mode to rudder mode by clicking on the button under the dial. Clicking on the heading bar readout again will hide the dial (it retains the mode it was in when revealed again). Mousing into the heading bar readout and pressing the appropriate keys will set the ordered heading. You can press and hold the appropriate keys to keep changing the ordered heading. The appropriate keys (and all options) can be changed by editing \MODS\NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_TheDarkWraith\data\Scripts\ Menu\TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py). Mousing out of the heading bar readout with a new ordered heading will cause this ordered heading to take effect. The dial can also be used to set the ordered heading / rudder angle. A tooltip has been integrated to be shown when you mouse into the heading bar readout. It will either display the current heading or if you have requested a new ordered heading the current ordered heading. Once within 5 degrees of the ordered heading the tooltip will start to display the current heading. The heading/rudder dial can also be cycled on/off using a hotkey. The state of the dial (rudder or heading) can be switched via hotkey also.
- Officer shortcut bar with commands for officers.
- optional integrated levels that gives the user Fuel, CO2, O2, and battery levels bargraph. Used to monitor levels of each. Current level displayed on bar graph.
