how does transfer at sea work

hey how do u know if you've been ordered to move to a different base while at sea?
also is it possible to request to be rebased while at sea?

If you've been assigned to a new base while at sea, you'll get a radio message saying where to go. Re transferring while at sea, no, you have to be in your home base office after a patrol. Click on your desk telephone to request a transfer, specifying the flotilla you want.
