Default Laserscanned Nordschleife for Forza 5 released - SUPERB

Beats the visually very appealling version in Project cars, I would say.

Stunning, absolutely stunning, probably the best Nordschleife there is so far in PC racing. The exaggerated use of HDR in that game does not change that statement, its HDR, not the track.

I am not sure that Kunos Simulazioni (Assetto Corsa) will be able to visually cope with this. Track layout and physics: yes, that is where their core competence lies and they are the masters in that competition currently. But trackside object, woods, environment graphics design? That would need more working hours than they could throw after it, I fear. Their ressources in staff and time are much more limited.

XBox, yes, I know.

Still their Nordschleife version is the best out there currently, I'd say by the looks of things. And since it is laserscanned like that of Kunos also will be, the main argument in favour of Kunos' version already has been equalized. Says me, who is a very, very strong and convinced fan of the quality to be seen in AC. Forza's artists team alone is three times as big as the whole Kunos company together, and the video claims they spend 13,000 man hours on the track, taking one year all in all to produce it. Kunos' team is 10 man alltogether, one man only doing the track art, and originally they wnated to be done in septemeber. I think they will produce a solid package that leads by the overal physics expoerience. But I think they will not be able to compete with the viosual quality of the whole track and just environment.

I'd be happy if at the end being proven wrong.
