Recently got back into SH III with the GWX mod, fully patched, and have been having great fun the last 6 weeks. Today, June 1, the most bizarre "computer glitch" ever experienced occurred. I played SH III in the morning, turned off computer, came back later, and in the afternoon the SHIII.exe (executable file) disappeared.
Now, given I have Windows 7 I had to have the "cracked" No-DVD executable to run SH III despite owning the game/having CD. This is the executable that disappeared. Continuing the bizarre, when unzipping the very same .RAR file containing that executable (and 5 other files) the SHIII.exe file would never unzip. FURTHERMORE and too complete the MYSTERY, I cannot re-download the crack file from ANY site I have found, all links are either now DEAD or Windows error message occurs saying "can't download file." I can only assume that the cracked executable had some kind of glitch that auto-deletes it on this particular date. I can't think of any reasonable explanation for these series of issues. Anyone help... and more importantly, have a fully patched cracked SHIII.exe (dated 9/05) that they know of??? Best, LeBlaque |

WELCOME ABOARD!
![]() The official Starforce Removal Tool is still available through the link in this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=160118 The better way is to buy a new copy. The only one I can guarantee is Starforce-free is this one. If you use the Quick Links button at the top right of this page Subsim will get a small cut of the purchase at no extra cost to you. This goes for anything you buy from Amazon.

Yeah, it's probably in the Antivirus software's quarantine store. Because the Starforce-avoidance code is likely flagged as a viral or worm feature.
Make sure you de-quarantine the executable and make an exception for the SH3 install forder. |
