Ahoy Everybody.
![]() I hope it's ok to post this new thread here, because I used the Search function without a usefull result. A few hours ago, I played SH3 and received an Enigma coded Radiomessage. Here is the exact content of the message. ---------------------------------------- 13:01 Funktelegramm Von: U13 An: Alle Boote 1939.11.15 KOMMANDANTENSPRUCH Sende verschlüsselte Nachricht Schlüssel: B-J-L CXTF GJ-V TEXZ VYNV SO-N J-KI ZX-D HP-Z FWBI DEGP VM-- HEVO JXYM FYP- DOR- PWIV SALJ U-ZI XVTI XJCI -KXF VPTJ --VL YUHM -OXB HMWZ -CIB MNDD ZDRN -TDB BC-G WYFX TP-D NVJM BX-U MZCG -WPB -TRF LNVF -AEE GSL- HZ-A MMMW FUWC --HB HWEJ -ULN K--- -S-Z YDUS THC ---------------------------------------- After what I have found, in my search on the net, it seems have here to be an Enigma encryption. However, I have no code book found to decrypt it, and the - symbol confuses me, because it is not visible on the Enigma pictures. Why the question arises whether it is just a fake message, which will only improve the atmosphere of the game? Therefore I hope that someone here can tell whether the message is real or false. And if she's real, what's in it. Or at least told me what I need, and where can I find it to decrypt the message myself. In any case, thank you in advance for the help. Have a nice day and good hunting. Joy and Happiness Panthera Pardus |

Schlüssel means "key"
there is no way to give you a key in SH3 other than to - rather unrealistically - include the key in the message itself ![]() what you will want to do is google search "Enigma Simulator" review the instructions on how to use it. Appears that there is a 3 rotor key "B J L" for this message Set the rotors to match the key, then it should just be a matter of typing the coded text into the enigma sim, and out comes the plain text version.

Only the key won’t be enough to decrypt the message. You need to set the rotors and the plugs according to the date which is impossible without a codebook.
I presume the message you received is not different than any in game message which is there to create only ambiance.

Are you using some sort of mod for messages?
if so, perhaps there are plug board and other settings for the enigma sim in the readme file or other documentation? It looks like you are using the German radio transmissions, i have only used english, i dont recall ever seeing this message.

Meh, breaking your message written in a normal Enigma cypher without knowing rotors and plugboard is not a big problem (1939 -> encrypt with a Enigma M3). The Big problem is, that's a Kommandantenspruch. It mean it's tripple crypted with a Doppelbuchstabentauschtafel, i don't have from 1939.
More infos look Wikipedia. Good Luck ![]() PS.: - Symbol means this letter is lost by bad weather or something. PPS.: It work without Doppelbuchstabentauschtafel ! !Spoiler! Settings: UKW B, III, II, I Stecker- None Message: Starke v kampf gruppe b in g loch uewec eingelaufen ... :-)
