Deck gun troubles

I'll bet you're all set to lay out the crew slot bug, but that isn't it.

I've got the crew slots, what I don't have are the bloody guns.

New career, RFB 2.0, Pearl, USS TARPON, 1941. First thing I did sitting at my desk was install air radar, upgrade the AA gun, and buy the big fore mounted deck gun. Started the patrol, read my orders, picked my start in harbor, and lo an behold my deck is a bare a a new born's butt.

No guns at all.

I'm guessing this is a known bug, and there's a save game hack to fix it?

Try this.

Move the Deck Gun Crew to Damage Control.

Upgrade your Deck Gun.

Move your Deck Gun Crew back

TG626, I'm going to lay out the crew slot bug. Your problem is the same bug as the crew slot bug, it sometimes shows as you described.

As it turns out, I tried "Sub school" and in the artillery mission, no guns.

Then I disabled RFB and the gun was back. Enable RFB, gun is gone.

So I disabled RFB, Deleted RFB, Re-downloaded RFB, reinstalled it to the MODS folder, re-enabled RFB and...

Now I have a deck gun in the school and career.

So, somehow the files musta been faulty... Dunno why, Don't care why, I now have RFB goodness and all is well!
