But I finally got sh4 to work in windows 8...Thanks to the help from the modders...Started a new career from manila and on 1-9-42 I sank a 32000 ton Kongo class BB..Went back to manila for a reload,awarded a a Silver Star ..

.Game crashed...Restarted and once again went to same area spotted task force called in and sank a Kongo class BB...Evaded some rather ticked off rice eaters and headed for Linguan gulf...Another task force,when the smoke cleared they were light by a Heavy Cruiser and a Kongo class BB...Off to manila for resupply...I was awarded the Bronze Star...Just doesn't make sense..

Yeah, the game is like that.

Are you playing stock?

If you have version 1.5, you can install some good mods that will improve your game.

Running sh4 with tmo 2.5...I would play the german side but I just don't feel right killing Americans...

I know what you mean. I played SH3 a little before SH4 came out, but I prefer to be one of the good guys.
