Forum date-format

I've looked through my options settings but can't find anything to make the date format sensible (ISO would be best YYYY-MM-DD): at the moment I look at posts with dates like 10-12-2013 and think "that's a reasonably recent post to which I could reply" when it is actually October, or 01-02-2014 and think "oops, it's February already".

I suspect this is this to do with the forum showing my language as "English (US)" and thus using the US settings for dates. Is it something you can fix at your end?

This post will, naturally, appear to take place on the 1st of September....
