Only a few here would be able to see the humor. When in my early 20's I used to have a poster that was "The top 10 reasons a beer is better then a women" .

A little poem from the military...
It's called a weapon, private,
This is my weapon (hold up rifle) This is my gun (grab crotch) This is for killing (Hold up rifle again) This is for fun (Grab crotch again) You learn the serial number of your little sister and you keep an eye on her at all times because, if a drill instructor got his mitts on your weapon he would take it apart and spread the pieces around to every drill in the company. Leaving you with the task of running around and asking for each piece. It never happened to me but, it was funny watching the other kids get trashed repeatedly until their weapon was reassembled. ![]() Moral: Never admire a friend's gun. He might think you're ...odd.

Our Drills had the whole platoon march around the parade area doing that "this is my rifle" chant in the hot ass blazing South Carolina sun for several hours just because one guy referred to his M16 as a gun. As I recall we were too tired to kick his butt for it later.

Ah yes Lost in the Woods after the change up in 1993 that is where every branch sent the troops assigned to transportation for advanced training.I knew a few folks that where heavy equipment operators that went there sounded pretty boring.
I think they train combat engineers at Lost in Wood as well. My training base was not better in the middle of nowhere Texas nearest large city was Oklahoma City.At least I was not a pole jockey you'd see them walking back from the base hospital with stitches and butterflys on their arms from when they slipped and tried to grab the pole instead of just drop freely. |
