Default Wonderful turnout in the UK!

Dozens of people shwoed up for the funeral of a WWII vet in the UK! They had no idea who he was either. None of his relatives could attend, so a local paper made an appeal to the locals to attend, and 200 showed up. I think that is wonderful for them to turn out like that!

Yes, there are good people in the world. A lot of them, in fact.

Dozens? The BBC had it as just over 100 inside the chapel and around 400 outside.

This has happened a couple of times previously, I feel it's a shame that a lonely old man has to die before people pay attention to him. But I also feel it's a shame that some die and only have a dozen or two of the family there and nobody else even gets a chance to say thank you in this manner. I'd like to seen details of all veterans' funerals published unless explicitly requested not to by the family.
