Meh, they have run into difficulties right now, but they have an army of mathematicians, they will find a way.
remember how DES got cracked in the 90s? Nothing is safe forever. Techniques and computing power will improve.
hell, if I was the NSA, I’ll sneak a backdoor into the tor project through bribes and intimidation (being open source doesn’t prevent this all the time, just look at phpmyadmin). Or just replace the binary on the site with a compromised version, barely anyone compiles it themselves anyways

PS:

I’m trying to make Oct. 20 take your shirt off for the NSA day, please take your shirt off in front of the webcam, and do a quick strip tease for the hard working NSA agents.

I wonder how many NSA servers I've crashed because they can't handle the sheer mundanity of my day to day life?

I do wonder though Yubba has been silent for some time.

The NSA must be watching the right people then.

And yet the first time a terrorist attack is successful and it is discovered that they used TOR, all of a sudden everyone will be asking NSA/GCHQ why didn't they anticipate terrorists using TOR and why didn't they do something to protect the people.....

Intel: Dammed if they do and dammed if they don't since 1865.

Revealed documents tqwo or three weeks ago showed that not even one third of the secret intel work is about "war on terror".

The rest is business espionage and population control.

Comparing these two branches concludes that for security arguments no more explosive expansion of intel capacities would be needed at all.

Unbelievable that people still take the strawman argument for real.

^ This.

Business espionage is where the USA is especially good in, and the NSA is also well-known for directly assisting american companies, in negotiations with companies abroad. Honi soit qui mal y pense.

Also, alot of NSA personnell seems to be heavily spying on their own family, and partners.

Yesterday, on an Autobahn toilet:
"This toilet is being monitored for hygienical reasons."

I hope one day the NSA gets olfactorial eavesdropping hardware.

Someone seems to be spying on your 'Submit Reply' button...

(EDIT: For the benefit of NSA records, Catfish posted his reply three times)
