Snorkel cheating before ??

From what date where snorkels in use ? If they had to capture Dutch subs to obtain them, '39 seems a little too soon ? Wiki doesnt help much either .. places it somewhere in '43 I think ..

if u enable the snorkel from TDW option file viewer u can use it from the first campaing

the snorkel was used 1943 summer for the first time by german U-Boats

I had been using that to enable it on my type A ... then realized I once heard a story about our (I'm Dutch) captured subs giving them the idea .. so I figured I was cheating ... seems I was :p

The system was designed by the Dutchman Jan Jacob Wichers.
