Default Funniest voicemail I ever heard

I've never seen this one posted here, and tried to search for 'voicemail', with no results.

I find this one contagious, hope you like it.

I guess you had to be there. Or maybe I'm just too tired.

The first thing I noticed was that the transcriber made a mistake. The caption says "a guy with a white shirt and a giant cigarette hanging out of his mouth", while the caller clearly said "white shirt and tie and a cigarette..."

I'll have to listen to it again when I'm feeling better, and try to picture the action in my own mind.

Can you distinguish a N(ew)I(nternational)V(ersion) bible from other version at a long distance? Smells fishy to me.

I never discarded the idea it was a ruse, an excuse/alibi for showing late for work.
