Is there something you need to do to get the radar guy to report radar contacts?
It's happened twice now where, under super foggy conditions, I've pointed the set in the right direction and gotten nothing from him When I go to his station, I can swing the beam around myself and clearly make out multiple contacts, but he never reports them |

Do the radar contacts intercepts not appear on the TAI? I often do not hear from the radio funkermann verbally myself and often find the set off due to wave splash. The later rotating radar reduces this problem slightly. But generally the contacts appear on the TAI. I presume that you set the greater radar distance-better for early aircraft warning.

My Radar operator always spots contacts for me, have you get the range set to long?
That's the only input I can offer. |
