Funny, you can only secede with the approval of state and congress, takes all the fun out of it and makes it an impossibility.

It will never happen, but I hope it does. These days I find that I do not view the word "secede" in an unfavorable light when you have large chasm between demographics of a given area. It's probably the only way the people in such areas would gain proper representation. Besides that, generally speaking our country is already balkanized or damn near it, so what the hell, why not.
