Default [TEC] Video Tutorial how tochange Text on Nav Map

I've created a video tutorial on how to change Text appearing on the Nav Map.
As a picture say more than 1000 words

we start with this:



And end up with that:

In order to follow the tutorial, I used these software
Notepad++
MS Excel
Blender 2.68

Thanks for this. Now i can finally change that spelling mistake on the nav map.

Did anyone notice it?

There is a mod somewhere here - SD MapLocationNameFix v1.2.. this mod fixes some wrong names on the maps..
If you won't find it I can upload..

Hi volodya61, I first thought of referenceing to the SD MapLocationNameFix v1.2
which could be found here
in the tutorial, but the idea was to give knowledge to the community so that we might get complete sets of LocationNames *.shp files even in different fonts.

I'm currently thinking of writing a standalone converter from *.shp to *.obj and vice versa. This would speed up the complete workflow as no manual copy and recalculate would be needed anymore.

Let's see if I find some time in RL in the next weeks.
