Been playing sh3 GWX quite happily on my 64 bit, and it has been installed on there for months, but recently the games drive was having problems, so I re-formatted it - no problems sez I ; I have the necessary files to re-install SH3 to hand...
sooo, today I installed base game from the disk, then put on the emea 1.4b, then clicked on the GWX.exe, and all seemed to go on ( it asked me where to install it, which I don't recall it doing before, so I put that in the base game folder - zat right?). All done, came out, clicked on game icon to run game... nuffink. Maybe I put the wrong disk in - I have two - but I don't see what the diff would be. What have I fergot?? ![]() |

Windows 7? Install outside of program files folder. If you had to patch it to 1.4b, you most likely have the version with StarForce, and it has to have the disk in the drive to run, so you need the NoDVD patch to avoid StarForce and having to have the disk in the drive. Whatever you do, do not run the game from the disk, that is when StarForce gets installed on your computer. Hope this helps.

ah, it isn't in Program Files, so that OK, and I patched it to 1.4b because I thought that was required before putting GWX on. I will uninstall and try again without it. Thank you.
![]() wonderful - sorted! didn't need the patch, as you said. Happy Sigh Last edited by She-Wolf; 08-16-13 at 03:10 PM. |
