Any idea would this be possible?
![]() I don't need a widescreen SH3, what I would like to have would be to be able to have a multiscreen display where I could simultaneously have open the game screen, Google docs or Word for war diary markings and Google Sketchup for maneuvering board work. What I now do is a lot of alt+tab, but then I don't see the screens simultaneously and alt + tab causes a lot of sound problems in SH3. Would it be possible to lose the sound problems AND see simultaneous screens? |

You could run sh3 in window mode set to the 4:3 resolution of your monitor.
That would leave you the side of your monitor to display your document plus you won't have any stretching of sh3. |

Works like a charm! I only had to tick the full screen option off in Options

Have a look at this video:
My computer is only a laptop with 4GB memory, Windows 7 64-bit, but it seems like one can play with SH3 windowed and then slide freely to whatever programs one needs. In the clip I keep a war diary in Google Docs while playing and can also visit 3D program Sketchup for maneuvering board work. To be able to do this one needs a program that lets you extend the boundaries of your screen. The clip was taken while using Infinite Screen. I'm planning to experiment with this kind of windowed playing while keeping open Subsim Radioroom, BdU's war diary for the approriate day in my game, a maneuvering board for Sketchup (a template can be found in Subsim's Utilities) and a war diary for my boat. Hopefully some you guys decide to try this too and report any problems or solutions to the problems! |
