Destroyer question????

Why do the escorts seem to be really really dumb, I've only ever had 1 dangerous situation w/ them so far where I took damage from depth charges, at first I thought it was due to it being early in the war but as I've progressed on they still seem to be dumb. I can usually just dive to below 20m which I assume is below the thermal layer an the ASDIC ping's stop an it seems they never ever drop charges that low, an even when i stay in that 10-19m area they rarely drop the charges any where near me, I've even been able to hear them going off at distance. I think I remember Wraith saying he had a mod that made them smarter but not sure

must-have mod. Without it, the continuation of dumb ai is inevitable.

Many thanks, it was getting a little boring being able to shred a convoy with the escorts being about as dangerous as stevie wonder in a round room w/ the lights off lol
