SH5 Crash on load...

Hey guys, I'm having a frustrating problem with silent hunter 5 now. For no apparent reason it's ceased functioning, when I try to load into a save file or even start a new game it'll go to the loading screen and right when it would finish loading into the world the screen goes black and I have to end task in the task manager.

I've tried several different solutions already, I do not have the C++ redist. file that everyone said was causing it, I tried removing every C++ redist. that was installed post my SH5 installation, I tried updating my GPU drivers, I tried updating Direct x and I tried reinstalling the uplay client.

I would really like to not have to reinstall the game as I have a bunch of mods installed and had a really good campaign going that I'd like to not have to reconfigure and restart.

Do you have the latest Uplay client from UBI?

CTD with or without mods installed?
We need a modlist probably. If using mods from a previous saved game, and loading saved game, same mods used and in the same mod order as before?

I haven't changed anything in settings or with my mods but here's my mod list and order.

I have the latest uplay client.

And like I said, it crashes even when I try to start a new campaign.

1. does the game crash or does just black screen appear?
2. if a black screen, how much time were you waiting before quit the game through task manager?

It just goes black and when I open task manager it says it's not responding anymore.

But I have some stuff to do, so I'll launch it and leave it loading and see if I come back to a loaded game.

I let it sit for probably 15 minutes and it's still black so yeah it's crashing.

Then I don't know what's the problem with your game.. usually black screen lasts 1 max 3 minutes and people are thinking that the game crashes or freezes.. that's why I asked you about waiting time..

I see you have patcher as a mod in first place...try to install it as stand alone, not as mod

And what do you have activated in it?
Beware some of the patches can give you CTDs (at first, don't touch the Uplay/orbitlistener stuff)
Your list should run fine, so i see only a patcher problem...but can be wrong.

But just when the Patcher which you activated with JSGMe the TDW Patcher is. Then you have to do what fifi said

Inertia files possibility

New UI for TDC is at version 7.4.2 now and being tested for 7.5 by various subsimmers.
Open Horizons II is now at version 2.2. Memel, not Kiel is the new starting base.

No changes in your TDW patcher recently? What version using? Now at 1.0.145. Some of the render patches can cause crashes.

I have made no change to anything about SH5 purposefully,, the only change I know of is the new Uplay client, but I don't think I can use an older version. I really don't see why the mods would suddenly break everything despite me not having changed anything or updated at all.

Have you disabled all mods with jsgme and re-enabled correctly?

Make sure you are in bunker when doing this.
Even better, start new career.
You have inevitable conflicts with that load order you posted in post #3.

-I cannot start a new career or load a game because of the problems mentioned in the original post, I highly doubt this has anything to do with mods and quite frankly if it comes down to re-enabling mods I would rather uninstall the game and be done with it-
