hi
i started SH5, about weeks ago, i could find all info here, but i cant figur out just one thing. normally i enjoy long shot with steam torpedo, but sometimes they stop on their way, even they have enough range i think this happen almost when torpedo are in target's sight range so are they intercepting torpedo with deck gun? or something more? this is my first SH, and really enjoying, hope someone can help~ ______________________ i think i found something i could check torpedo's yellow line was short i think it didnt react instantly when i change torpedo's speed and tube 1,2 and 34 are different angle, i hope my guess is right Last edited by palegrey; 07-26-13 at 11:43 AM. |

you are experiencing premature detonations. You have a couple of options for this:
- set the torpedoes to run deeper - don't fire torpedoes with magnetic detonators in rough seas - fire torpedoes with magnetic detonator switched off |

double-check your speed setting for steam torpedos. 30 knots goes to 12000 meters. make sure you have given your torpedoman his passive repair and maintenance points to prevent premature detonations. key G at the beginning of each patrol to set crew points and increase efficiency. the torpedoman , the sonarman, and gunner reload should be focus at early patrols when promotion points are scarce and doled out sparingly. viel gluck herr kaleun!
