I see more bikes than cars being produced, but not on my roads.

On a more serious note: I also find those stats rather depressing.
The only great number being 1m new books published this year, however compared to half a million tv sets sold per day, two hundred million tweets consisting to 99% of horsecrap, I ask myself if anybody reads them...
