A simple introduction and some random thoughts

Hello fellow U-boat captains!
I joined the Subsim forums about less than a year ago but haven't bothered to post. Frankly, I don't want to lose my downloading privileges but I figured I might as well get a feel for what the community is like. I apologize if this is in the wrong place but I don't know any better (Sorry!).

I've enjoyed so many hours playing SH3 and the GWX super mod. Honestly, there were moments where I was truly convinced that I was deep below the Atlantic fearing for my life (Blasted ASDIC!).

Well just to cut this off from becoming a ramble I thought I would ask what you guys or gals think of a game with the same level of depth as SH3 but you play as a captain under the command of Erwin Rommel in Afrika. (Not a typo

)

I don't think such a game exists at the moment. Red Orchestra has the potential and Version-1 does have some Afrika mods, but no careers as such - just map play.

Red Orchestra 2 should in time have some Afrika mods, and i think there are career options (not sure).. and probably 'short lived'
