SHO Thanks to the Modders

I have played quite a few sims of various genres in my time and I have to say that without modders the games would often be a bit dull , SH3 is not that bad but " what a difference a mod makes" (sounds like a song title). I have just installed NYGM and all I can say is Thanks a million to the guys that produced it .

Couldn't agree more. All the modders here deserve our gratitude for making the game much more enjoyable.

That's true! Without those people who are capable of improving games by modding them, the stock games would soon get shoved to the bottom of the cupboard, or end up on a car boot sale.

Ah well Glen, at least a new copy won't have cost as much as the original you had. I purchased a new copy which I am using at the moment with the 1.4 patch included, just twelve months ago, for less than a quarter the cost of the original disc.

Tbh that's one of the reasons I wait for about a year these days to purchase a new pc game as the price drops significantly

Have played SHIII and SHIII quite a time BUT only recently by co-incidence and while looking for 'Il-2 skins' (Il-2 is the other game I am crazy about), I stumbled onto this incredible site where MODS and other incredible stuff galore. Thanks a lot to al the people giving us this!

Yes, the mods are great. GWX Gold makes this game live up to it's real potential. Mods breath ne life. I'm really enjoying the surface warfare mod, There is quite some satisfaction from plowing into a convoy with a pocket battleship while the escorts fling peas at you.

I agree wholly.

Unfortunately, all the cool mods around means lots of work getting them to all play nice together. You can forget to actually play the game!
