Rat meat is avoided,it would be a crisis that would otherwise eat it.

Rats tend to eat fairly clean food when their taste tester approves it.

Yes, a pack of rats will designate one of their own to test their food before the bulk of them consume any of it.
But, in China, the rats might come from a lab so there's no telling what you're being fed.
