Default SH5 Waves - cosmetical issue?

Hello all,

i'm from germany, so i say sorry for my possibly poor english. I haven't found anything about that. I noticed, that the fairway (?) of the ships is visible through waves in periscope view. I already noticed this in Silent Hunter 4.

Has everybody of the SH4 and SH5 players noticed this? Is this fixable?
It is only a very small disturbance but i'd like to know if i am the only one with that 'issue'. ^^

First of all - Welcome aboard

Yes, this is a stock bug..
Here is fix for this issue - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=3105
Unfortunately, this fix doesn't work with most nVidia cards.. I myself don't use it because of my nVidia card..

EDIT: ooops.. again Gap was the first ..

Thank you to both of you.
I tried sobers fix, but it doesn't work.

I have a nVidia card too.

Machine-specs:
i7 3770k
16gb ram ddr3
GTX 670
Win7 Prof. x64

Too bad that the fix doesn't work, this issue annoys me since SH4. But I'll get over it.

There is always some issue in a game, not just this one, that annoys people. Some make the game virtually unplayable and some you just notice, like this one, and continue to play. Nothing's perfect. Your english is probably better than mine and I've been speaking it for 64 years.

YES. You are right. I know the "Silent Hunter-story" since the Silent Hunter 3 release. That's why I wrote in my initial post it is just a little disturbance. Big thanks to all modders, which make the games playable and enjoyable!
