TMO2.5 settings

howdy folks
I'm about to give the game a whirl using tmo for the first time. Would like to start out on the "easy" setting so I can use auto targeting. Will I be able to change some of the other preferences? Such as unlimited fuel and such.
Just got a new comp with win8 and pumped to get started. Its been years since I played this game.

Yes you can change your settings in the desk room (radio on the left side) and adjust whatever you like before each patrol.

thought I had seen something in the read me that states some settings were always on regardless of which difficulty was chosen. Unlimited fuel,batteries and some others I might want to adjust among those listed.

Yes, i've read that too, but choosing normal difficulty in first career window, then adjusting things in option main room always worked here...
