TMO 2.5 Campaign and Crew Management Question

I started a new Pacific career playing TMO 2.5 + RSRDC and I thought that I had it set to 100% reality. To my dismay I failed to set it to manual targeting so I played at 90% reality

. I now have one saved Patrol under my belt.

My question is:

1. Is there a work around to resetting my saved Patrol to 100% reality ?. I tried to reset it but when I reload the saved file its still on auto targeting (90%). I would like to do the whole career at 100%.

2. I don't fully understand crew management. I'm trying to understand how to enhance the crew (promotions, gain experience, etc). Is there a good read or tutorial that explains how to properly manage the crews in SH4?

I trying to make an elite crew if its possible.
