Default Beyond EIDOS Battlestations Midway & Pacific

I am 66 years old and I had interest in naval/air warfare since I was 13, when I saw the movie, SINK THE BISMARCK in 1960. Many times I wondered what it would be like to command a ship or fly aircraft in battle.
The age of computers have made my dream of fighting naval/air battles come true. I have collected my share of these games over the years. But these games became obsolete with the new faster, computer systems we have today. But the graphics and sound have greatly improved giving it more realism and enjoyment of playing these games.
But I don't understand this concept as to why a company, like EIDOS HUNGARY, produces 2 outstanding naval/air games like Battlestations Midway and Pacific, and then suddenly disappears or is bought out by another company.
I had high hopes that they would proceed with another similar game by adding Battlestations Atlantic and Battlestations Mediterranean. If you look at all the battles that were fought, small or large, and individual missions that were carried out, by ships, submarines, aircraft, and commandos, there was a lot that the company could have done with these two theaters of war. Using the same engine and design as Midway and Pacific. These would make a welcome addition and complete the naval/air history of World War 2. They would make an outstanding collection to any gamer like me.
I am greatly amazed of the improvements they made in Battlestations Pacific. There is a lot to do here and learn.
There have been similar naval/air games in the past. Just when a player, like myself and many others, find the thrill and enjoyment of reliving a battle or encounter, the games graphics and sound are good, playability is excellent, then suddenly....BANG!!!! IT'S GONE!!! Why do they do this??? Why can't a company hang on to produce and complete the next venture, to give players who have a great interest naval/air history, the complete product instead of having everybody hanging on a thin thread, wondering and waiting for the next game to come out...and it doesn't....only to find out that the company has shutdown or soldout!!! Do we need to be disappointed??
While playing Battlestations Midway and Pacific, I try visualize what it would be like if EIDOS produced Battlestations Atlantic...the thought of engaging British and German warships in battle, like the Graf Spee, Bismarck and Scharnhorst, Hood, King George V, Exeter, Ajax, Achilles...launching torpedo planes against the Bismarck from the carriers Victorious and Ark Royal...X-craft midget submarines entering the Norwegian fiord to attack the Tirpitz, U-boat missions in the St. Lawrence River in Canada or along the American eastcoast seaboard, New York. All this would have been interesting to see and play...unfortunately, it's not to be....
