Hope it doesn't escalate into yet another war in the region....the last war between Iraq and Iran cost over half a million lives.

Yeah, they don't need another war like that. Was suprised to read the Iraqi Army has a stand off situation with the Kurds over oil fields rights.
They can't settle anything over there without being on a brink of war.

That situation has been ongoing since saddam took a full-time vacation, would you also be surprised that Kurdish factions are having their militias in stand offs with other Kurdish militias over those oil field rights for the past decade?
