First off would like to wish all a very merry xmas and a prosperous New Year.
And my question is, while sailing submerged does putting some of your crew to bed make oxygen last longer in game or does it run out just as fast?

All the best matey...and in answer to your question, no, there is no saving on oxygen depletion to be made.
