I recently installed OLC MkIId and ACM Reloaded for OLC, started a new patrol and noticed that the Weapon Officer doesn't have a "Solution to target" icon.
I always play with the weapon officer assistance ON (even in this new patrol I have it on), so I started to search a way to ask him in this mods, even if I assumed that it is a feature disabled on purpose. I locked on a target with the UZO and asked the officer to identify it and I discovered that if you stay on target and wait, he calculates a solution and says "Solution to target". Very good! I unlocked the target and proceeded in doing some other things when... my officer continuously spams "Solution to target" every 2-3 mins or so (game time) even if I have no target locked. It is very annoying ![]() What am I doing wrong?

not familiar with these mods but if the icon has been removed from the game then i imagine the mod removed its capability to calculate torpedo solutions for you. now obviously you have found a way around it and made then game do something that the mod doesn't want it to do.
simple answer is if you want your weaps solutions back read up on which mod is the one turning it it off and stay away from it. or disable and re-enable the mod and see what happens. who knows you may get lucky if you do it in a different order |

Agree with Maceaciadh. Most GUI mods take weapon officer assistance out of the game by purpose.
On the other hand in the situation *Starwolf* describes the weapons officer seems to be doing his work in a more realistic way - there is some delay to the solution and not the usual computer calculation speed of the original SH3 solution to target order. As if the officer was actually calculating first and answering after he's finished with the estimations. If only there was some margin of error in the results... As to how to quiet the weapon officer you could try taking the man off the bridge and then putting him back on later. "Take a break in the loo Bernard. You're too eager." It's a crude solution if it works, but I have nothing better to offer.

![]() I think that I'll disable his help, sooner or later I was planning to learn the full manual targeting.
