Secret documents reveal truth about Afghanistan

The German media group WAZ has released 5000 documents that represnets internal military reports and reports to the government by the the German Bundeswehr from 2005 to 2012. These documents, partially still being analysed due to their low graphical quality, are rated as "Vertraulich-Nur für den Dienstgebrauch", I think that equals "Eyes Only".

The WAZ group justifies the release of this secret material by wanting to give back some solid data on the war to a debate that in Germany is characterized by the government lying, deceiving and hiding.

The documents are deescribed as clealr illustrating that the security situation has constantly worstened, and that both number and quality of attacks have constantly grown until today, with the enemy now having the weapons and experience to hit and kill armoured German vehicles and kill the crews inside. The documents paint the picture of a war that since years is "most likely lost" and that only wastes soldier's lives for nothing. The German government has just voted to let the troops stay longer than 2014, they will only be reduced by roughly one quarter.

I hate them for this stupid war. If I would had my will, all members of German governments and parliaments since 2002 that supported the Afghanistan operation would be court-martialed and lined up at the wall for high treason against Germany and the German people, conspiracy against the state and multiple murder of German soldiers. After all, this is a war, isn't it, so they have no right to complain.

Incompetent, diletantic, unscrupulous, irresponsible dreamdancing #%§?#&$s they are. This war is what makes me time and time again happy that I decided against voluntarily trying a career in the army 26 years ago. Serving for a good cause and a realistic necessity, is one thing. Serving for such folly and political incompetence and pathologic distortion of reality, is something different. And the latter is not worth to have the life of a single soldier being put at risk for it. That's why I want to see politicians responsible for this mess being court martialed.
