Default Is there a mod to run SH3 in slow computers?

Hi!
I´m trying to run the game in my netbook so I can have the game in the background and work with my desktop ("why don´t you do it the other way around?", someone might ask, sensibly. The poor little thing actually runs the game, but I can only get around 5fps. I´ve tried the lowest screen resolutions with a mod I found, but still no joy.
Is anybody aware of a mod that allows running SH3 in a slow PC? Something with really low-res textures or anything like that...

If there isn´t such a mod, could I use photoshop to lower the quality of the game textures? Any hint with this would be much appreciated. What should I change in a texture file so that it´s lighter AND the game can still use it?

Netbook specs:
Intel Atom 1,6Ghzx2
2Gb RAM
Embedded graphic card with 64mb (I think)

Thanks in advance!

its both the Graphics card and the Motherboard/CPU combo.

you have a GC that has as much memory as GCs of the year 2000
cut textures in 4 (25% size) and the memory used will still be too much.

the GC would be a minimum spec unit barely able to view a HD video. Much less paint 3D game graphics a la SHIII/GTA San Andreas.

The Mobo is not made for swapping Data back and forth quickly...
neither your HD is fast, nor is your single core 1.6 GHZ cpu worth a damn.

forget that second core...IF shIII can use it, the netbook will barely allow this, to save power and juice.

===================
cutting textures will not help... nothing exists that will make it run better.

cool to see old reviews of SH3, they're all very positive if find, this game was a real hit and was well regarded when it came out.
