Default What would *you* recommend to spiff things up?

Now that I have a capable rig able to load fast, run fast and display fast, I want to start spiffing up the visuals a bit. I'm not at all familiar with what's out there vis-a-vis "eye candy", so I thought I'd see what you all think about that.

I'm mostly looking at three areas at the moment: crew uniforms, environment, and sub skins.

At the moment my enabled mod list is the following (in case you know of conflicts between your recommendation(s) and these:

GWX 3 Wilhemshafen,St Naz,Schluese and xtra ships V5
LifeBoats&Debris_v4
Wac Animated Sub Pens interior start for GWX
GWX - 16km Atmosphere
GWX - Integrated Orders
GWX - No Medals on Crew
New Uboat Guns 1.2
Urfischs_ModStrike_Beta1
Waterstream+Exhaust Combi V2.3 for GWX3
Tikigod's - Engine Order Telegraph (German)
Torpedo damage Final ver2.0
torpedo trail and wake fix
Depthcharge Shake v2.01
Aces' Combined SH3.SDL Files v2
Real Depth Charge
hydrophone depth charge
SH3-Fix_SN_2_Stock
Fix_UZO_R_stock
GWX Gold restricted Bino Mod
Q Ship mod GWX3.0
GWX3.0 Additional_Ammo
SH-5 Water for GWX 3.0 V0.9 Atlantic campaign (default)
Searchlights_Removed
KJF_Moon_v1.1
KB's Diesel Sound Mod
Merchant_Fleet_Mod_3.2

So . . . what would you recommend?

As they poped out of my head:

GWX - Enhanced Damage Effects (comes with GWX)

OR

Rbs_SH4_effects_GWX_30_71 (in the download section)

Use one of the mods at a time because if you use them together you get a CTD.

I prefer the GWX - Enhanced Damage Effects

Well, that goes without saying. But that isn't exactly an "eye-candy" mod.

Actually, I'm already using it. It only added 90 seconds to the total load time of 120 seconds. And yes, it's VERY worth it!

This only works with Privateer's Turms Your Way mod, yes? What, exactly, do the Historic Turm Pack and Turms Your Way mods do? Could you point me to some screenshots, maybe? Bitte?

Aces' Super Turms v6 for GWX3.

from the readme
Quote:
This mod combines entries from three mods into one so that you can have Flakmonkey's Twisty Periscope, Privateer's Turm emblems Your Way and Anvart's Flag and Pennants and DF Antenna all at the same time as well as Tarjak's Historic Emblem Pack and a big bonus curtsey of Flakmonkey who has very kindly produced new Type 7c1 Exterior Lightmaps.

When enabled the Type 7b1, 7b2, 7c1 and 7c8 Turms (conning towers) will display the above.
