Default [REQ] Current standing orders book

One of the (many) things I love about GWX (as I don't play the other supermods I'm afraid I can't comment on them ) is the radio messages that broadcast changes in (historical) standing orders.

Thing is, I don't actually have them written down, so one of two things happen:
  1. I forget what's current, and/or,
  2. Newer orders have been 'broadcast' while I've been in base, so I've never 'heard' them.

My modding skills have never been all that good, and due to RL circumstances are now irrevocably rusty, so there's no way I could figure this out, let alone implement it. But here is my idea:

Much like the recognition manual, have a "standing orders" book that appears when one is at the periscope and UZO station. When you 'pull the book' out and open it, you're able to see what the current standing orders for that time period are. For instance, pistol settings, prize rules, ROE, etc.

Just a thought.

That's complicated and the only way I see to solve it in game is via SH commander, using multiple graphics with the printed orders that are replaced in the proper moment.

The easiest way to have those standing orders (Which is a great idea BTW) is to open the radio messages txt and copy all of them into a word document and print it. Should be done in 15 minutes or so, and you have it forever readily accesible on your desk. I have been printing along the years some stuff, distance charts for periscope, maps, wiz-wheels, the Uboat Commander's Handbook, etc, etc and playing with all that stuff in your hands is a great experience.

You mean like this?

I am currently working on this mod, and now that I have a breakthrough I should be able to get it done here sometime in the next 4-6 weeks, tops.
