I found this article interesting.

Thanks to just-released emails from the House Energy and Commerce Committee, we now know that AARP worked through 2009-10 as an extension of a Democratic White House, toiling daily to pass a health bill that slashes $716 billion from Medicare, strips seniors of choice, and sets the stage for rationing. We know that despite AARP's awareness that its seniors overwhelmingly opposed the bill, the "nonpartisan membership organization" chose to serve the president's agenda.

The 71 pages of emails show an AARP management taking orders from the White House, scripting the president's talking points, working to keep its board "in line," and pledging fealty to "the cause."

It sounds a lot like the labor union I was a member of in the 80's, except the union didn't even try to disguise its position.

PS: I don't expect Romney to win, Obama will get his 2nd term. Where's my cheap insurance?

So when Obama care starts limiting payments to providers what's going to happen? The providers aren't going to operate at a loss (at least not for very long), so like with private insurance, will the patient have to make up the difference between the cost and the medicare payment out of pocket?

So Obama care really is a tax increase on the middle class then. It really will cost medicare patients $716 billion in spite of what the Democrats are saying?
