Tad Frustrating...

Just spent about an hour tracking a ship... Doing everything slowly and carefully.

Noticed something... cant see my compass lines if I zoom into the map too far. Is there a fix for that?

Anywhoo... I was off on the contact location by about 2 kilometers, so I plotted an intercept... Wasn't horrible. (I had the bearing right, so that was nice) Had a little help with my approach due to the fact that it was nighttime. I got into position, and instead of clicking on 'get torpedo aiming data'... I clicked on 'launch torpedo'.... so now I've ruined my element of surprise. Sortof... I immediately got a shooting solution and fired from tube 2. The Weapon Officers data was good. Direct hit! Unfortunately it only bounced off of the boat. (yes, it was on 'impact' and not 'magnetic'). Blahhh...

So I watch the boat for about 10 minutes, and it doesn't appear to be swerving, so I asked for another shooting solution, and fired.... The torpedo exploded halfway there.

That's my story.

I gotta go calm down the crew. They are lookin' at me kinda funny.

Avoid magnetic pistols in T2 when in heavy seas or shallow water. Premature detonations are highly likely.

depending on realism setting the 1 torpedo could have been a dud.
