Default Torpedo Resupply

I'm just embarking upon a career in 1944 with my home base of Brisbane. Its all good until I return. I 'End Patrol' and get my new orders, but, for some reason, my torpedos are never replensihed.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Very simply, you need to load your torpedoes manually. When you're in your office after a patrol, click on the "Sub Model" on your desk, and visit the sub systems of your boat. One of them is the torpedo loading screen where you click and drag the torpedoes to the empty slots. Hope that helps you out!

I always thought when you docked, you were fully loaded automatically.
If you refit, you have to drag a torp over to load tubes and refit again to fill storage racks. Anyway, I always refit before I dock, that way I don't have to pay for torps, so I could be wrong.

I'm not sure about that, unless the supermods change the automatic load on dock. I use RFB, and made the mistake on not loading after a patrol, and had to turn back when I realised I had no torps As for refit, again not sure since I only pull into a refit station to top off fuel on the way to the patrol area.

What, you don't like those 10 sec refits? I always thought that was a flaw of the game, refits should take a few days at best or be just fuel only. Heck at Tulagi, during the mass battles, I've refitted why submerged why enemy escorts are making runs......good way to get a quick battery charge and bring all your crew back to health too...

I feel the same way. RFB tries to maintain a sense of realism by asking the player to remain in port for at least four hours after the "light speed" refit. Another thing that would be cool, is for you to take your boat back to the states for major refits. I've been reading Silent Victory, (great book, highly recommend reading this), and there were times that skippers were ordered to Mare Isl. for major refits.

Quite so.

Anyway, when I started with SH4 (using RFB), I expected automatic torp replenisment. I left port on my 2nd patrol and noticed I was short four torpedos. I naively thought this was because the Japanese were closing in on Surabaya and that it was a war emergency situation.

Thankyou very much. I will try this and see if I can make it work!
