Default Re-supply times??

I know this has been talked about a fair bit. I have GW 3.0 Gold I use commannder as well I have found that linking up to a supply ship cost 30 days or so and an non home port the same. I would assume that a supply ship operation would take about 24-48 hour max in real life. This would account for fuel and limited Torp re-supply (at sea) Am I correct ro assume that the only way to get around the 30 day burn off is to go into commander and set the next " stay in port" to 2-3 days?? then reset to 30 days ( or what ever ) after re-supply at sea? Sorry for repeat of other posts here on similar questions!

Commander automatically changes the days in base to 1 when at a resupply ship. It's my understanding that any damage still has to be repaired, which can take much longer, and there is no way around that.

Then that was what was required to repair the boat.

From the SH3 Commander User Guide, version 3, page 13:
Quote:
3. SH3 Commander automatically recognises when you are docked at a milk cow or other friendly base and will automatically adjust the number of days spent in base to 1 without you needing to manually change via the SH3 Options screen. You can click on the label to toggle status.

*Note that extra days will be added if damage needs to be repaired; this is a limitation imposed by Silent Hunter III.
So, which version of Commander do you have? The latest is 3.2.

Are you starting SH3 through Commander every time?

If both answers are yes, you might have a bad installation.
