![]() ![]() Yeah, this is how I feel when I played ToW2 for the first time and I got my army murdered by the russians! Do you have any tips how can I play this game in the right way and win? ![]() |

Do not, at any cost, give one of your vehicles a movement order and then proceed to do something that is not watching and making absolutely certain that it is doing what you want without exposing its rear to the enemy or failing utterly in any other way. Ever.
Such is my advice. EDIT: Oh, yes. Infantry; never run around with it in the open. It's not terribly survivable.

You have a lot of things to deal with in the TOW games.I have not played Kursk in a while but I think that your vehicles start off only using their main gun and not mgs so you have to make the the crew activate those. Also you should have them aim for the lower hull as this usually insures higher hits and you can of course immobilize an AFV which sometimes is an effective form of mitigation for the Soviets in particular.
On the first Kursk map once playing as the USSR I only actually destroyed a handful of German AFVs but I managed to immobilize the others keeping them from over running me. Do not forget about using suppression fire as well with the Fog of war you might see a fixed position like an AT gun or the like if you lose sight of it you can simply order an area fire on the same spot. Playing as the Germans you really have make use of your armor(I suppose that is obvious).Like Raptor said you really want to babysit your units because some have a fairly limited supply of rounds and they will use them all up.I usually use the armor to punch a hole and have the infantry clean out the area while the majority of the Russians are either in shock or to busy with the armor.I like to bring along mortar units the Germans have a half track with a mortar crew in the back and they are useful not only for suppression but also they can lay smoke rounds. With the mortars I will them give an order and watch them fire once they have fired the number that I want I stop them. Oh and be aware of AT mines they like to plant them on the obvious routes. |
