game crashes at about 5 mins in

Just installed it...no mods yet. At about 5 mins into game, screen goes black and PC shuts down completely. Any ideas why? What a piece of garbage game this is.

whats happening when it crashes? are u using time compression?

This sounds to me like something hardware-specific. It used to happen to me with Guild Wars because my video card would overheat (or maybe it was my cpu, can't remember).
