Hello all!
sorry to bother you folks but can't find a solution to this issue on my own or searching the net/forums I'm getting black squares when moving the view quickly in the water around the boat and in the sky around ships, esp when viewed through UZO seems to be related to the nvidia/particle issue back in 2005 that was supposedly fixed at some point but cant figure out which driver fixed it and have tried several from 82.xx to 304.xx drivers tried the game patches 1.0-1.4, with and without GWX.... tried with and without vsync, AA, AF etc im using an nvidia 6200 plain pci card....best available for this 6yo dell im new to the game is there a known fix for this? ![]() Thanks so much |

I have never heard of a problem like that. However I have "cured" many old games like Fallout 2, Panzer General 2, Steel Panthers WAW of similar graphical problems by running them on only one core of the CPU. Have a look at for example this: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/in...e-on-one-core/ if you haven't tried this yet. Worth a try?

I think that Video card came with a max of 256 megs of memory on most systems.
That's most likely the problem. There were also issues with the early released cards. Last edited by Madox58; 07-18-12 at 02:31 PM. |

Thanks for the tip sublynx...but to no avail
hmm well seems i have somewhat of a fix but still have a bit of fiddling to figure out exactly what is helping....but the UZO is near perfect instead of constant flicker as well as the sky just a bit of black smears around objects on the bridge occasionally....i can live with that if cant improve it any more currently using adaptive vsync with inspector at 1/3 refresh rate that plus other possibilities like prerender, frame limiter, triple buffering etc means a lot of testing still to be done but at least im to the point i can say its playable....really didnt want to give up on GWX....sounds like an awesome mod cya around guys Last edited by Dragonscoils; 07-20-12 at 12:34 PM. |
