Do you need help with positioning the boat for an attack or with the actual firing point procedures?

Good pointers, Maki!

My humble suggestions are:

1) How to plot an intercept course.

2) How to set up the "fast 90"

Neither of which I claim credit for, even though the last one was my humble attempt to describe the procedure, but I didn't come up with it.

No problem muddlemuch.

The thing is that SH5 can be a bit of an overwhelming game. But a few hours in front of video tutorials, taking notes, memorizing bit by bit and you will be able to have month and months of endless fun whilst feeling like a pro. I wish you good luck, and good hunting

First video is on how to actually install mods.

The important thing to know about mods is that not all are compatible. If you have a conflicting mod list it will cause random crashes to desktop. Second thing is they cause an increase in CPU memory usage. In short the more mods you have, the more stress the game will cause on your computer.

The plus side is that they really completely change the game experience.

So I use sober's mod list. Why?? It's very good and most importantly stable.

Now if you have any other questions I suggest these two sites
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...192374&page=18

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=189818

The leading modders in the community are Sober, The Dark Wraith, Uekel and Trevally. Trevally has made the Open Horizons II mod. He has been a great source of information for me.

If you have any questions please ask in the above threads or start a new thread of your own.

The way I search for mods, by the way, is I type the full name of the mod in my search bar and search. When you find a subsim link, it's usually the download.

Oh, YES. the download button is also located on the last page of a thread. Because sometimes you will get a link for a direct download site, and sometimes you will get a link on a discussion thread.

That's all from me. I do hope some other members of the community will also post in this thread. Many older members have much more knowledge about this than me.

I am sure you will have some more questions about the mods, but please feel free to ask. This is a wonderful and very helpgul community.

Problems get solved here

You're welcome Rick. I am glad I was able to be of assisstance.

Additional hint: If you type "site:subsim.com" (without the quote marks, of course) in front of your Google Search term, you'll limit the results to links from this site. Helps a bit with weeding out the "noise."
