Default A couple of questions - TFs, Damage, etc.

Hi everyone

I just bought SH5 recently and started in on it. I have played SH3, 4 etc.

I have a couple of issues I'm wondering about. I already modded the game using many of the recommended mods on the beginners guide (mod forum), but don't think this stuff is necessarily mod related.

First, I've encounted about 4 task forces (near England, or on the way to Norway during the invasion) and all have had one capital ship escorted by anywhere from 8 to 14 destroyers/frigates. What's up with this? I've seen an Illustrious by itself, Rodney/Nelson, and even weirder one single Kent Class cruiser traveling with it's huge entourage. Wouldn't the cruiser be part of a cruiser force of 2, 3 or more ships? Except for the Glorious screw up, I don't think a fleet carrier would be traveling without any guns to protect itself from other large ships either. Is this a design "feature" of this game?

Also, regarding those Kent Class cruisers, I've sunk two now. Both went up like a match after being hit by one torpedo. Literally exploded and burned bow to stern from the one hit. One occurence maybe, but two times I get that "lucky" hit? Again, is this some kind of issue in the game?

Finally, anyone have random issues with flags not waving on enemy ships?

Thanks, and sorry if this stuff has been covered at length the past couple of years.
